Denver Hecke and the Chateau-Thierry Offensive

The last German Offensive of World War I took place at Chateau-Thierry, France.


On July 27th, 1918 Denver Hecke was gassed while taking part in the Battle of Chateau-Thierry. He was a member of Company K, 159th Infantry. He survived, and returned to the United States on Feb.14th, 1919.
